- ½ cup (70 g) raw almonds
- 1 slice (6 g) fresh ginger root, about 1"
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup (150 g) chilled, roasted beets, about 1 medium beet
- 1 cup (150 g) chilled, roasted beets, about 1 medium beet
Follow these steps:
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed.
- Blend for 5 minutes 45 seconds, or select the Hot Soup program and allow the machine to complete the programmed cycle.
Chef's Notes:
For a deeper purple color in this beverage, use red beets, or for a more neutral color, use golden beets. Earl Grey's earthiness goes very well with the flavor of beets, but other liquids may be used if desired.
