Ingredients:
- 1½ cup (360 ml) water
- ½ cup (75 g) raw almonds
- 1 (130 g) medium orange, peeled
- ½ cup (415 g) pineapple, peeled, sliced with core, about 3 cups
- 1 piece (10 g) fresh turmeric, washed
- 1 (10 g) fresh ginger root, peeled
- 1 (150 g) large banana, peeled
Follow these steps:
- Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
- Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 2 minutes.
Chef's Notes:
For a more juice-style smoothie, simply omit the banana. If fresh ginger or turmeric root cannot be found, substitute with 2 teaspoons of dried to replace the fresh.
