Savory Avocado Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium (130 g) orange, peeled
  • 2 (250 g) avocados, peeled. pitted, reserve half for garnish
  • 3 cups (65 g) kale
  • ¼ cup (32 g) almonds
  • 2 Tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 1 Tablespoon flax seed
  • 6 (45 g) pitted deglet noor dates

 

Follow these steps:

1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure the lid.
2. Start the blender on its lowest speed, then quickly increase to its highest speed. Blend for 60 seconds, using the tamper to press ingredients toward the blades.
3. Scoop smoothie into serving bowls, topping with the remaining 1/2 avocado diced up, and with extra seeds and nuts or as desired.

 

Chef's Notes:

  • Tough kale, nuts, and seeds make this the perfect Vitamix recipe. With just the right amount of sweetness, it can be enjoyed any time of day. The dates, hemp, and almonds are all pulverized down to create a smooth and creamy texture with the addition of avocado.
  • We recommend using coconut chips, goji berries, and additional hemp seeds for garnish.
